Afterschool Hazen Hangout

Looking for a welcoming, laid-back space to unwind after school? The Civic Standard, in

partnership with Hazen Union School, is excited to offer a weekly afterschool hangout every

Thursday! Facilitated by Hazen’s Community School Coordinator, Vaiva Velzis, with support

from The Civic’s staff, this space is yours to shape.

Whether you want to relax, make art, play games, get help with homework, or just spend time

with friends, this hangout is all about YOU. It’s a safe, inclusive, and creative space where

Hazen students can come as they are.

Bring your ideas, your friends, or just yourself. We’ve got snacks, good vibes, and a cozy
