About the event
After nearly a year living in a half a Main Street town, it's time to celebrate and WARM THE NEW BRIDGE UP! We'll be celebrating all weekend. Friday night kicks off with the Bad Penny Pleasure Makers, live at the Legion. The Penny's bring old time jazz, suitable for dancing, loving or drinking straight from New Orleans. Admission by donation pay what you decide at the door, cash bar.
Then, Saturday starts with an official pompous bridge opening ceremony at 3 pm in the Daniels Building Parking Lot.
At 4:30, Caja Madera will be serving Hardwick's best tacos starting at 4:30 on the Town House lawn. Then, At five we welcome to the stage of the Town House The Ida Mae Specker Band, Vermont's premiere traveling square dance band for a concert and square dance with caller Sarah Gibson.
