Craft Collective: Special Edition Zip-Up Pouch Workshop

Have crafty skills you’d like to share? Dreaming of learning something new but don’t know where to start? Just want to gather with other makers in your community to craft and chat? Whether you’re into mending, upcycling, quilting, knitting, sewing, crochet, needle-work, block-printing, weaving, natural-dying, or some other flavor of crafty goodness, makers of all stripes are welcome. 

So, if sitting around making stuff, chatting with friends while eating yummy snacks is your cup of tea, come join us the third Sunday of the month from 2 to 5 at The Civic. 

This week we have a special edition Zip-Up Pouch workshop led by Michael Sadler.

This workshop covers the essentials of sewing machine set up, operation, and seam/stitch types. Attendees will be guided through the creation of a zip-top, box-bottom pouch from previously loved Dacron sail cloth. Attendees will cut, sew, and bind their projects, and get hands-on experience…
