HONKY TONK NIGHT Friday, April 19th from 7pm until late! Dust off your dancing boots and come on down to the Legion for a all out get-down. Snacks available, cash bar open, live music courtesy of our own Local Hotshots.

OLD-TIME JUNKET Due to popular demand, we are now gathering TWICE A MONTH, on the second and fourth Wednesdays at 7 pm. With a vision to revive community fiddling and a regional old-time music repertoire, all are welcome to join us at our free old-time jam session at the Civic! All players of string band-style instruments - fiddle, banjo, guitar, bass, and mandolin - are encouraged to attend. All levels of proficiency are welcome. Snacks and beverages will be provided, and listeners are welcome

You are invited to a special launch for "The Lost Forest", a coloring book for adults (and kids, too!) created by Ghostshrimp, a.k.a. Dan Bandit. Dan will introduce his work and talk about the creation process, and then we'll color and eat snacks! The Galaxy Bookstore will offer some coloring books for sale.

THE HARDWICK SKATEPARK COLLECTIVE meets every Wednesday at 3:30pm here at the Civic. Stop by to find out about this youth-led project, and get involved!

FREE COMMUNITY SUPPER Every Wednesday evening at 5:30pm, all are welcome for a free community supper in the living room on Main Street.

HAIKU CLUB All are welcome the first Thursday of each month from 5:30- 7pm at the Civic. We will read some published haiku and review suggested guidelines for writing haiku. Feel free to bring a piece you are currently working on to share with the group. Hardwick Haiku strives to be a supportive and fun environment, and no previous experience is necessary. This event is hosted by Mark Scott in collaboration with the Civic Standard.

UKULELE GROUP every first & third Wednesday at 7pm, following supper. We will learn how to become better and more fluent players, and build a repertoire of songs together. Attendance is on a drop-in basis, though ongoing commitment is encouraged. Donations welcome to support the Civic. Open to all levels of players, ages teen and up. The group will be led by Don Houghton & Ned Houston, retired folk music enthusiasts from Craftsbury, who have played throughout the NEK for many years.

MENDING CIRCLE Third Sundays 3-5pm Bummed out by the holes in your favorite jeans? Wondering what to do with all those moth-eaten sweaters? Whether you’re a newbie or visible mending expert, come join a crew of experts at the Civic for a fun few hours of connecting with friends old and new while applying these age-old skills. Just bring your clothes in need of fixing, and we’ll supply the materials, instruction, and snacks!
