Christmas Carol singing, led by Maria Schumann, Thursdays 6:30-8pm at the Civic, starting this Thursday Nov 30. The first 45 minutes we'll sing old favorites, the second 45 minutes we'll sing carols that are obscure, old, and/or in different languages. We'll end by caroling around town on December 21.

TOWN WIDE YANKEE SWAP! December 22nd, join your neighbors for a raucous and hilarious Yankee Swap. Supper, competitive gifting, and treats to celebrate the longest night of the year at the Legion!

FREE COMMUNITY SUPPER Every Wednesday evening at 5:30pm, all are welcome for a free community supper in the living room on Main Street.

STITCHER'S CIRCLE Third Sundays 3-5pm Bummed out by the holes in your favorite jeans? Wondering what to do with all those moth-eaten sweaters? Whether you’re a newbie or visible mending expert, come join a crew of experts at the Civic for a fun few hours of connecting with friends old and new while applying these age-old skills. Just bring your clothes in need of fixing, and we’ll supply the materials, instruction, and snacks!

FUTUREMAKERS! Where are you going? How are you getting there? Come to Futuremakers, where we explore possibilities beyond and after high school. Join a small group of peers asking the same question: What’s next? College? A career? Both? Neither? Let’s figure it out together. 4:30-6:30 Mondays. GROUP FIDDLE CLASS

OLD-TIME FIDDLE CLASS Every third Monday at 7pm. This group class is for beginners and up! Thanks to the generous support of Dana Robinson and Cabot Arts this class is free, though donations are always gratefully accepted. Get in touch with any questions.

TRIVIA

TRIVIA On the last Thursday of each month at the Village Restaurant from 6-8pm, hosted by a rotating roster of locals. Lynn is generously opening the door just to host this monthly community game, and will be offering a limited menu of burgers, wings and appetizers. This is a first come, first serve event, with room for roughly ten teams.

HAIKU

HAIKU CLUB All are welcome the first Thursday of each month from 5:30- 7pm at the Civic. We will read some published haiku and review suggested guidelines for writing haiku. Feel free to bring a piece you are currently working on to share with the group. Hardwick Haiku strives to be a supportive and fun environment, and no previous experience is necessary. This event is hosted by Mark Scott in collaboration with the Civic Standard.

OLD-TIME JUNKET

OLD-TIME JUNKET Due to popular demand, we are now gathering TWICE A MONTH, on the second and fourth Wednesdays at 7 pm. With a vision to revive community fiddling and a regional old-time music repertoire, all are welcome to join us at our free old-time jam session at the Civic! All players of string band-style instruments - fiddle, banjo, guitar, bass, and mandolin - are encouraged to attend. All levels of proficiency are welcome. Snacks and beverages will be provided, and listeners are welcome
